CCW Training

 

Complete the required training for you to obtain or renew your Nevada CCW Permit. 

Add on Utah and/or Florida to your course to increase the number of States you are allowed to carry in.  Private training in the comfort of your own home (or a place of your choosing) is available upon request. *Note that the live-fire portion of this class must be conducted at an official shooting range or public land where shooting is authorized.

This class will cover:

Firearms Basics

Learn the elements of firearms safety, storage, cleaning and inspecting your firearm, how firearms and ammunitions work, and how to choose a defensive handgun and accessories

Concealed Carry and the Law

This section will cover shooting on Nevada Public Lands and relevant Local, State, and Federal Laws

Mental Preparation & Avoiding Confrontation

Techniques, exercises, and home security measures that will develop a defensive mindset and hone your situational awareness to decrease your risk of a defensive encounter inside and outside your home.

Pistol Marksmanship and Shooting Positions

Learn the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship and practice the unconventional shooting positions you may have to use in a defensive fight

Dry-fire Practice and Shooting Drills

Dry-fire practice is a cost-effective and efficient way to practice shooting without the need to travel to a shooting range. The drills we have designed will help you learn to draw your concealed firearm to respond to multiple possible scenarios.

Written Examination

You must score a 70% or above to pass a written knowledge test. *For students with learning disabilities, the test can be administered as an oral examination.

Pistol Qualification

A total of 30 rounds for a six-shot or larger capacity pistol or 25 rounds for a five-shot capacity pistol will be fired at a B27, B21, or FBI Q Target at the following ranges:

  • 7 yards: 12 rounds (6-round capacity)/10 rounds (5-round capacity)

  • 5 yards: 12 rounds (6-round capacity)/10rounds (5-round capacity)

  • 3 yards: 6 rounds (6-roundcapacity)/5 rounds (5-round capacity)

A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.  There are no time, stance, or grip restrictions.
